This is the opening of my landscape show "California Visions" at the 142 Throckmorton Theater last night. It was great have students,friends and family there.

Trees and Lilac Demos

This was a quick sketch for the Advanced Class yesterday. The lesson for both classes was on trees.

This shows 2 ways to start trees:with the trunk or with the foliage mass.

With tree masses, don't have regular lightened areas,have irregular areas.

Advanced Painting Class

I am thrilled that this class is standing in front of easels. They have much more freedom of movement than when sitting. Their artwork reflects more confidence in painting.
