Opening reception for the BayWood Artists and Save The Bay collaboration Make A Splash!

art show was this weekend. Around 250 visitors attended the reception. I am seen giving thanks to all those who donated and supported both groups this year.

I was painting in Moraga yesterday as part of a paintout for Save Lamorinda. Temperatures were in the 90's but I was in the shade and there was a slight breeze. The ranch was very paintable with the cattle coming and going as I painted.

Tuesday Painters' Reception

Great turn-out today for the first reception for the Tuesday Painters at the Fairfax Library. There were many people there enjoying the paintings.

Tuesday Painters Getting Ready!

These are pictures of the Tuesday Painters getting ready for the art show at the Fairfax Library that opened April 2nd. Great team effort!

The Tuesday Painters were formed with the oil painting class students, these students have made great progress over the last few years. I wanted them to experience putting on an art show as this is another aspect of being an artist. I feel that getting art off the easel and onto walls is important to both the artist and to the viewing public. It is great to see the variety of interpretations and expressions of the assignments.

The show looks fabulous!
